Report from the fifth annual Nordic Ford-meeting

This year the show attracted quite a few first-timers, which gave a new twist to the classic Ford-event. Winner among the classics was a very tidy Finnish 20M TS Hardtop in the rare P7A body type. The modified class prize went to a heavily altered Taunus 20M Hardtop P5 from Finland, with a 2.9 litre twin turbo Cosworth-engine.
As People´s choice winner we (again) saw a local Taunus 17M P3.

EuroFord Nordic 2009

The fourth Nordic European Ford Meeting took place on 1 August in Mariehamn.
A wide selection of British and German Ford cars were displayed as well as a few veteran tractors. Unfortunately heavy rain spoiled a large part of the afternoon fun.

Winner of the custom prize was a heavily modified Finnish 1966 Cortina GT (above), while a Swedish 1958 Taunus 17M P2  was awarded the prize for best classic car. People´s Choice winner was an outstandingly clean local 1989 Escort RS Turbo.

New Nordic Ford Meet

Until 2006 there was no mutual basis for the Nordic EuroFord scene.
We think our meeting in Åland can act as a bridge between clubs in  Finland and Sweden. Hopefully it will also attract interest from car  enthusiasts in Scandinavia as well.
The aim is to gather all kinds of Ford-people and thereby showing the full extense of our hobby.
A NEW TRADITION IS MADE!

We are happy to once more have presented a wide variety of classic Fords.
We say a big thanks to all participants and wish you all back in 2011.

SEE YOU AGAIN!
